Case Conferences
If Social Services are involved with your family and are convening a child protection case conference, please contact one of our specialist solicitors who can attend the meeting with you. A case conference is a meeting involving all of the agencies involved with your child such as their school and their doctor; during the meeting information is shared and a decision is made as to whether a child is at risk of significant harm, thereby requiring a child protection plan. The social worker will provide a report to the case conference which we can discuss with you in advance. We will also meet with you after the case conference to discuss the conference decision and provide advice in respect of the terms of any child protection plan. Our experienced solicitors understand that case conferences can be a daunting and stressful experience for any parent, and we will assist you in understanding the process and ensure that your views are made fully known to the meeting before any decisions are made. Our solicitors will remain available to you for advice throughout the Case Conference period and we will attend any review Conferences held by social services.
